This is a MUST . Almost . Unless you are setting your bottle drip
candle on a surface that it will stay on permanently , you need to put the
bottle on somethinglike tin foil so the wax will not ruin anything that
splatters around it . Kat Von D on LA Ink is the only example I can think of
where someone left the candle ( s ) on a counter and just let the wax do it 's
thing . Here 's a photo of her drip candles . While I think it's neat that a
section of her shop is full of dripping wax , it's not for everyone . )Step how to make candles at home
Fatten the candle bottom .If Needed )- Your drip / taper candle might be a
little bit too skinny for the mouth of the bottle you are using , and therefore
it just wants to slide into the bottle . That's OK . I just used a bigger
candle , lit it and let it burn a little while , and dipped the bottom of my
candle drip into it 's melted wax drip candles to make the base a little bit
wider . Then while it was still soft I put it in the mouth of the bottle so it
is molded to it .Step # 4 Place the candle in the bottle .After you have
completed the optional steps that you have chosen , you are pretty much ready
to light your first candle drip .Make sure that your bottle is in a permanent
or safely covered area !All you need to do is place your candle into the mouth
of the bottle you chose and the make sure it's tight and standing up straight .
Look at it from a few different angles to be positive . ( If you have done the
optional step # 3 , then you will have already done this . )uy Drip Candles !Color
